Golf

There is probably the greatest concentration of championship golf courses on the Costa del Sol than anywhere else in Europe.

There are six courses within 30-35 minutes drive at San Roque Club, Almenara, Alcadaisa, La Cañada, Sotogrande and Valderama. As any golfer will know many of these courses have hosted major championship events.

Equestrian

The region is famous for its Andalucian stallions invariably ridden by men in a very macho manner. There is however plenty to interest those with a love of horses. Rancho Los Lobos, two kilometres from Jimena offers riding.

Walking and Wildlife

The area around Jimena is a haven for birdwatching and walking.

Polo

The Santa Maria Polo Club at Sotogrande has a programme throughout most of the year mainly on Sundays.
